Why the Forest River Cherokee?

The Forest River Cherokee travel trailer line provides more for families and couples alike by offering a wide variety of floorplans and features at an affordable value. When compared to other travel trailer lines, the Cherokee provides more options meaning there’s a better chance of you finding the RV you want.

Each model in the line provides its own unique layout, and all Cherokee floorplans come packed with modern features for the right price.

Plenty of Floorplans for Families and Couples

  • Ranging from 26 feet long to 38 feet and from 5,200 pounds to 8,800 pounds in dry weight, the Cherokee comes in many forms, including two toy hauler models.
  • Cherokee’s toy haulers both offer a free-standing table in their respective garage spaces at the rear of the trailer. The 255RR has 13 feet in garage space and a bathroom opposite the entry side of the RV. The 294RR is a larger toy hauler with a whopping 17 feet in garage space and a camp side bathroom. Both feature a queen size bed at the front of the toy hauler.
  • Camp-loving families have eight bunk models to choose from in the Cherokee line.
  • The 264CK and 264DBH both have double-over-double bunks on the camp side next to a rear bathroom with a queen size bed at the front of the trailer. The layouts for both living spaces are similar, each with a single slide, with the 264DBH featuring an angled, corner entertainment center.
  • Next in the Cherokee line-up of bunk floorplans are three models placing the bunks next to the rear of the trailer similar to the two above, but the bathroom is on the camp side. The 274DBH provides a large slide with a dinette and sofa across from the camp side kitchen. The 284DBH has a similar layout with a little a larger slide to include a pantry plus a swivel chair. The 294DBH expands the living area and has two swivel chairs.
  • The bunk models continue with the 294BH, 304BH, and 304BS. The 304BS stands out from the other two because it has a living room slide plus two opposing slides in its bunkroom. Both of the bunkroom slides have a top bunk over an expandable cube sofa.
  • The 294BH and 304BH have fixed double bunks on the camp side with a flip-up bunk over an expandable cube sofa on a slide across from the camp side. The 294BH has an additional exterior entrance into the bathroom whereas the 304BH has a kitchen slide, a kitchen island, and a bathroom closer to the master bedroom.
  • The models without bunks offer a lot of variety too, starting with the 214JT. This floorplan is a rear bath with a layout designed for couples. It has a queen size bed up front and a dinette and refrigerator on a slide across from a camp side stove and sink.
  • The Cherokee line sports three front kitchen models: 234VFK, 274VFK, and 304VFK. All offer a master bedroom with a queen bed in the rear of the camper and a pass-through bathroom. The 234VFK and 274VFK both offer two entrances with the 274VFK offering more living space. The 304VFK has the traditional one entrance, but along with the living room slide it provides two bedroom slides to dramatically expand the master bedroom. The 304VFK also has an outdoor kitchen.
  • The final Cherokee floorplans are rear living models with master bedrooms in the front of the RV containing queen beds.
  • The 264RL and 274RK both feature a slide with a dinette and sofa and two comfortable swivel chairs. The 264RL comes with two entry doors with one being a private entry into the master bedroom. Its two swivel chairs are located on the back wall and the kitchen is on the camp side of the unit. The 274RK has one entrance, and is longer. This floorplan puts the two swivel chairs on the camp side. The model also gets an L-shaped kitchen spread across the rear wall and camp side wall.
  • The 274WK and 304R finish off the floorplans. Both have a slide with a dinette and seating on the camp side of the RV and a kitchen with an island across from that slide. The 304R places chairs along the back wall and a sofa on the slide. The 274WK flips this setup. The 304R also offers more square footage overall.

Features to Help You Get the Most Out of Each Trip

  • The Cherokee comes with several quality features on the exterior of the unit including an outside shower with hot and cold water, outside TV prep, backup camera prep, a power awning, power tongue jack on most models, and solar prep.
  • The story doesn’t change on the inside of the RV. It comes with 40-inch dinette drawers on most models, a 6-gallon gas/electric DSI water heater, a skylight over the tub, and solid doors and ducted A/C on most models.
  • Additional features include LED light throughout the interior of the RV, premium comfort bedding, HDMI multimedia center, and beautiful materials throughout the interior.

Quality Assurance Ensures Satisfaction

  • The exterior of the RV is well-crafted with strong modern materials and modern designs, such as the aerodynamic radius front cap and sturdy metal sides.
